Peer Review Process

           Skyhawk Scientific Journal of Aviation implements the following review process policy:
  1. The Editor receives the manuscript from the author;
  2. The Editor evaluates the manuscript (purpose, scope, journal template, and supplementary data);
  3. The Editor rejects if it does not meet the criteria;
  4. The Editor manually checks the manuscript for plagiarism in offline and online databases;
  5. The Editor rejects if significant plagiarism is found and then contacts the author for clarification if minor plagiarism is found;
  6. The Editor sends the manuscript to the reviewer along with the review form (blind review, where both reviewer and author remain anonymous);
  7. The reviewer returns the review form to the Editor (along with a revised manuscript if necessary);
  8. The Editor makes the decision (rejected, requires major revisions, requires minor revisions, or accepted);
  9. Confirmation to the author;
  10. If there are revisions, the author revises the manuscript and it must be returned to the Editor without delay;
  11. Manuscripts returned more than one month later will be considered a new submission.
